Orlando, Florida - Five Things You May Not Know

1.) It gets cold.

Most citizen think that because Orlando, Florida is the sunshine state that it doesn't get cold. This is a false assumption. There may not be "seasons" but it does get chilly from time to time.

Attractions In Florida Orlando

Normally from January-March the weather is a miniature more brisk outside. While these months the temperatures can drop as low as 50 degrees. Sometimes colder. If you plan on visiting Orlando While these months than don't plan on doing water activities. It will be a miniature too cold for that. But rest assured there are plenty of other Orlando, Florida attractions to select from.

Orlando, Florida - Five Things You May Not Know

2.) Speaking of attractions, there's more to do in than just the theme parks.

Orlando, Florida is world supreme for one thing, Disney World. But, there are so many other things to do in Orlando, Florida than just Disney and the other theme parks. Many that are much more affordable. There's evening meal shows, colse to beaches and springs, shopping, and local attractions like Gatorland that give you a taste of the real Florida.

3.) Hurricanes don't hit Orlando very often.

Turn on the news and you may hear about hurricanes hitting Florida. The truth of the matter is that hurricanes rarely hit. Orlando is very inland so by the time a hurricane gets close it has become just a strong thunderstorm.

Having lived in Orlando for over 30 years I have been through only a handful of hurricanes. Most came and went with no more destruction than a few downed trees and power lines. The one good thing about hurricanes is that, unlike other natural disasters, there's plenty of warning if a storm is going to hit.

4.) Orlando, Florida is not as costly as you may think.

If you start to plan early you'll be surprised how much money you can save. Be sure to check online for discounts on the theme parks, hotels, and flights. The best way to save money is to visit While the non-peak seasons. January-March is a good time to avoid the lines but as mentioned earlier it's a miniature colder out. October-December is other good time to visit.

5.) The worst time to visit Orlando is While the summer.

Many citizen visit Orlando, Florida While the summer. There is not worst time. For one it's very hot outside. The sun and humidity is brutal While the summer months in Orlando. June-August are the hottest months of the year.

Another theorize the summer time is bad is because it's While the peak of the season. You will be waiting in lines that may take hours. Add that to the heat and it makes for an undesirable vacation. Not to mention being in the sun causes many bad sunburns. It would be much more enjoyable to visit when you don't have to fight the heat and the crowds.

So there you have some things you may not know about Orlando, Florida. But now you know!

The Fastest Driving Route to Florida

Have you ever wondered what the fastest driving route to Florida is? Well, if you live in the northeastern United States or in the Canadian province of Ontario, read on! After many years of exploring the major north-south routes (and driving my wife crazy with noting voyage times between varied locations) we have carefully that the following route gets you to Florida sunshine the fastest.

1/ If you are crossing the Canada/Us border or live in northern Ohio or New York, Interstate #90 provides the best connection to Interstate #79, your first north-south highway on the Fastest Route to Florida. (Remember that I-90 in most of New York State is a toll route)

Attractions In Florida Orlando

2/ Take I-90 to Erie Pennsylvania to join together with I-79.

The Fastest Driving Route to Florida

3/ follow I-79 south straight through the rolling hills of northern Pennsylvania. One caution, keep watch for deer, I have never seen so many deer (dead or alive) along one stretch of road in any place else in North America.

4/ There are not many industrial assistance areas between Erie and Pittsburgh, but there are some clean rest stop areas (about every twenty minutes).

5/ Washington Pennsylvania, just south of Pittsburgh, offers some good accommodation, dining and shopping venues.

6/ I-70 connects with I-79 at Washington, so if you live along the I-70 corridor you can admittedly join together with the fastest route to Florida.

7/ lasting southward, it is not long before you enter the State of West Virginia. If you are a college football fan, the University of West Virginia football stadium can be seen in the distance to the east as you pass straight through Morgantown.

8/ As you advent Charleston, I-79 ends and you join together with I-77. (You could take I-77 all the way from I-90, just surface of Cleveland, Ohio, but we like the scenery of I-79 and it is a faster route.)

9/ Your route takes you right straight through Charleston, and although we have never spent much time in the area, the mix of southern architecture and modern structures provides for fascinating scenery.

10/ Leaving Charleston, the mountains and valleys seem to engulf you as you make your way towards your destination, Englewood Florida.

11/ About an hour after leaving Charleston, you will reach Beckley. This town is known for its coal mining (if time is ready check out the coal mining museum.) At each of the exits in the Beckley area you will find accommodations, food and fuel effortlessly available.

12/ If you enjoy great scenery, the next integrate of hours will delight you! I-77 twists and turns straight through the mountains of West Virginia, then as you pass straight through a tunnel the panorama of the mountains of the State of Virginia admittedly explodes straight through your windshield as you exit from the tunnel.

13/ After passing straight through Wytheville with its numerous venues for food, fuel and accommodation, you will soon be in North Carolina.

14/ The State of North Carolina makes an equally dramatic entrance. As you pass by an exit announcing Fancy Gap, the highway begins a decent down the mountains. The view is fantastic but the numerous run-away truck ramps serve as an ominous warning that the steepness of the hill can cause trucks to have problem stopping.

15/ At the lowest of the hill, a beautiful rest area provides a great picnic location, or just a spot to take a slow meander surrounded by the well-manicured gardens.

16/ I-77 continues on straight through Charlotte, North Carolina and on to Columbia, South Carolina. One of our popular moments occurs as we enter the South Carolina Welcome Center. At the entry we see our first palm tree, evidence that Florida and Englewood are not far away.

17/ A short distance from Columbia we join together with I-95 and continue southward, passing Savannah and then Brunswick until we reach the Florida Welcome Center.

18/ A few minutes south of Jacksonville is one of my popular stops along the World Golf Village. Besides the great golf climate at the shops and restaurants in the village, there is the World Golf Hall of Fame. Believe me, it is worth the visit!

19/ lasting down I-95, we arrive at Daytona (try not to voyage straight through this area nearby the time of any racing event, especially the Daytona 500, the traffic is crazy. But if you are a car racing fan, go for it!), where we join together with I-4.

20/ I-4 goes straight through Orlando (try to avoid weekday rush hours). You might want to plan a few days at any of the major theme parks in the area.

21/ Just east of Tampa take I-75 southbound.

22/ About an hour later, take the River Road exit and in 10-15 minutes you will be in Englewood Florida.

Let Your Winter Vacation Begin! You can now truly forget about the cold weather and snow and just Enjoy Englewood Florida!

Florida Bass Fishing and family Vacation Combo

Take that Florida bass fishing trip and keep the vacation promise you made to the wife and kids. You can do both with a bass fishing Orlando Florida trip along with a house vacation combo. You can join both a visit to the parks and set aside a day for fishing. You'll find the fishing guides in Florida accommodating when it comes to house trips. So the wife and kids can enjoy a day of fishing with you or, if they prefer, go to the beach, visit the parks or go site-seeing.

Location-Location-Location When it comes to the best house fishing vacations, nothing comes close to what Florida has to offer. You can join Florida bass fishing and house entertainment from a collection of separate locations across Florida. Anywhere you go in Florida you'll find a beach and a whole host of amusement parks. Florida is a playground for all ages. It offers more collection in vacation opportunities than any other state. From its wide range of:

Attractions In Florida Orlando

  • amusement parks
  • world famous beaches
  • Nascar racing
  • championship golf courses
  • Kennedy Space Center
  • Caribbean Cruises
  • and much more

Florida Bass Fishing and family Vacation Combo

You could fish in the morning and visit Mickey Mouse in the afternoon. From Orlando you're within minutes of some of the best bass fishing Florida has to offer. Like the house attractions, the fishing is year round.

Fishing This is a Florida bass fishing trip with the house so you'll want to consider hiring one of Florida's many expert guide services. A fishing trip with the kids has to be packed with excitement. As long as there's action you'll keep their interest. Forget the stigma of bass fishing with live bait; this is about the kids. Opt for a shiner trip, trust me, you won't regret it.

Best Time Spring is the best time of year to plan a Florida bass fishing trip, when the big fish are easier to find in the shallow water spawning areas. join that with the off season (Mar., Apr., and May) for the parks and other attractions, and you can get some indeed great deals on admission fees and room rates. My favorite month is March when the weather is more carport and the waters warm to optimum temperature. There's nothing worse then fishing in miserable weather with the house along.

What to bring If you hire a guide he'll have all the fishing gear you'll need for fishing so all you'll need to bring is:

  • Rain Gear
  • Sunscreen
  • Warm clothing
  • Food
  • Don't forget the camera!

License Last thing you'll need is a non-resident fishing license. You can buy your license in strengthen by calling 1-888-Fish-Florida or 1-888-347-4356 or stop by a Wal-Mart or local bait and tackle shop. For more facts go to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's License page.

Bragging Rights dream going home and, instead of telling your friends about the one that got away, you can gloat while you show them pictures of your Florida bass fishing vacation and all the fish you caught. Your wife can show off her tan while the kids talk about meeting Goofy, Mickey and Snow White. It doesn't get any great than that!

• To make an Irs-recognized charity, the next major step is to apply for 501(c)(3) tax exemption status with the Irs. This step involves filling out a relatively detailed application known as Form 1023, Application for Recognition of Exemption. The purpose of completing this form is so that the Irs will recognize your assosication as a tax exempt charity. Moreover, once you have obtained such exemption status, donors who contribute to your charity will be able to make donations that are tax deductible, to the extent permitted by law. In order to accumulate such tax exemption status, you must perfect Form 1023 and submit the completed application to the Irs along with the applicable Irs application fee. To accumulate a copy of the application, you can experience the Irs at 1-800-829-1040.

After the form is submitted to the Irs, within about 3 to 5 months thereafter, the Irs will sass by sending to you a determination Letter which formally recognizes your entity as a 501(c)(3). If your application is incomplete or a qoute arises, the Irs will warn you of this, which may consequent in delay of the victorious processing of your application.

• Once you have received the determination Letter from the Irs, you should warn the Florida group of wage of your charity's tax exemption status by sending a copy of your Irs determination Letter to that Department. The Florida group of wage can be reached at 1-800-352-3671.

• someone else issue to reconsider is the solicitation of donations.
